Introducing me!
Charis Clark is a Mixed Media Artist and Experimental Animator living in the Twin Cities. Their work has shown at multiple film festivals and screenings including Minnanimate, the Minnesota Electronic Theater, and Screen It Off Screen.
Inspired by process, Charis approaches their work using a variety of skills, techniques, and mediums. They enjoy working with both 3D and 2D animation pipelines, using both to create their short films. Charis considers themselves to be a lifelong learner, exploring new artistic process and tinkering with how different mediums can piece together.
Charis’s work centers around the cross-roads of mental health and living in modern landscapes. Their latest short film, Dine In, focuses on the isolation of living alone during early adulthood in conjunction with struggling to cope with mental illness.
When they’re not animating, you can find them watering their plants or pulling some fresh bread out of the oven.
